The Chrysler Crossfire was a distinctive sports car that emerged from a collaboration between Chrysler and Mercedes-Benz in the early 2000s. It was created between 2004 and 2008 and was renowned for its unique design and fusion of German and American engineering. The Crossfire's most remarkable characteristic is its elegant, coupe-like design, which gives it a vintage sports car appearance with a large hood and small back deck. The car has a unique tapering back, a boat-tail rear end, and a main spine that runs the length of the body. The Crossfire replaced the Chrysler Prowler and the TC Maserati.

The Crossfire shares much of its platform and mechanical components with the Mercedes-Benz SLK320 due to the Daimler-Chrysler merger. The components include the 3.2-liter V6 engine, paired with a six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission. The car's near-50/50 weight distribution, multi-link suspension, and rear-wheel drive arrangement all contribute to its agile handling qualities. There were two body styles for the Crossfire: coupe and roadster (convertible). Chrysler manufactured a high-performance SRT-6 version in addition to the standard model, which debuted in 2005. A supercharged 3.2-liter V6 engine powers the SRT-6.
